The now international model was discovered in 2015 at the young age of 14 and then spotted by no other than Dior's lead designer, Raf Simons, in Paris. In her first modelling job, Mechetner opened the Dior Haute Couture Fall Winter 2015/2016 Show at Paris Fashion Week and that was only the beginning. This rags-to-riches story of the girl plucked from poverty in Tel Aviv to star on the catwalks of Paris made headlines across the modeling world, making Sofia a name to remember.
This beautiful 23-year-old model was actually discovered during her military service in the IDF by an agent who spotted her on Facebook. From there, the road to international success was short. Malka quickly landed major international campaigns for Armani, Ralph Lauren, Maybelline, L'Oreal, Schwarzkopf, Bebe, and Müller Yogurt. In 2015, she was chosen as the face of Italian lingerie company Intimissimi, heading its international advertising campaigns, succeeding the likes of Irina Shayk and Bar Refaeli.
