More travellers can now look forward to exploring the vibrant city of Johannesburg as Airlink introduces a new route connecting Johannesburg and Zanzibar.
Johannesburg remains one of the most sought-after holiday destinations and a major commercial hub on the African continent, making it an ideal destination for both tourists and investors from across the globe.
Airlink announced the new service over the weekend - flights between Johannesburg (JNB) and Zanzibar (ZNZ). The new flights will commence on 3 June 2026, with tickets already available for purchase.
What's also exciting is that passengers will enjoy flying in the airline's brand-new state-of-the-art Embraer E195-E2 flagship aircraft on this route. The aircraft accommodates up to 136 passengers.
The flights will operate twice weekly, on Mondays and Thursdays, departing Zanzibar at 12:00 and arriving in Johannesburg at 14:55.
