What better way to celebrate Spring than with great music, food and amazing vibes?

Basha Uhuru, a music festival created to honour the lives of the youth of 1976, is back with another edition.

Since its inception in 2012, the festival has been entertaining the young and old with incredible performances - showcasing the best in local entertainment and giving a platform to upcoming artists.

This year, the organisers are making sure that students are not left behind due to budget constraints. They have announced discounted  ticket prices for students.

"Attention students and all surrounding communities! We heard you loud and clear! Spread the word: Basha Uhuru is offering discounted rates for you and your squad!" the event organisers announced on Facebook.

Students can take advantage of buying 10 tickets for R1500. The original ticket price is R200 - R450.

The event is taking place at the iconic Constitution Hill where it all began fourteen years ago with the first festival.

This year's event features sounds of freedom from the best in the entertainment industry - Pabi Cooper, Mthandeni, Toss, Kid Fonque, dj Cndo, Que dj, Jah Seed & The Admiral.

Expect a great day with a curated market, live music, food stalls and bars - It's gonna be epic!
