Johannesburg gospel fans are in for a treat this October, with two powerful nights of worship on the horizon at two Carnival City venues.
Favourites such as Xihambano and Sinakho Konke will light up the stage for the City Praise Live Recording PR2 on 25 October before Gospel Goes Classical returns with some of South Africa’s top gospel talent on 31 October.
City Praise Live Recording PR2
For those in the know, City Praise Live Recording PR2 is more than just a stage show – it’s a full evening of worship, music, and a chance for people to come together as one at Mardi Gras, Carnival City.
Powerful live praise, an atmosphere charged with faith, and the sound of a generation joining together is on the cards for the October 25th concert, with many of City Praise’s most loved tracks set to be performed, including:

- Sinakho Konke (Singobile Mpungose)
- Tsedibotsi Fela (Langutani Mathonsi)
- Engatini Ya Yeso (Thompho Mutika)
- Intando Yakho (Iron Lady)
- Come as You Are (Calvin De Revelator)
- Randalamo (Psalmist Kenny)
- Kanyenawe (Mathilda)
- Tshilidzi Tshau (Calvin De Revelator)
- Sileth’izibongo (Singobile Mpungose)
Tickets for City Praise Live Recording PR2 are available through WebTickets and cost R200 each. Children under the age of three are not allowed to attend.
Gospel Goes Classical
Gospel Goes Classical is back for what is expected to be a powerful live recording at the Big Top Arena on Friday, 31 October.
The likes of Takie Ndou, Xolly Mncwango, VaShawn Mitchell, Timothy Myeni, Lusanda Beja, Lungelo Hlongwane, Kholeka, Collen Maluleke, Xola Toto, Sneziey, and Thabile Myeni all join the party for this year's lineup.
Tickets are available from Computicket for R350 each. No children under the age of three may attend, while those under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Please also take note that all children must have their own tickets, as sitting on laps is not permitted.
