Canadian star Billy Raffoul is back! Catch 'The Homebody Tour' in SA and hear the story behind his new hit, 'Honey'.

Canadian singer-songwriter Billy Raffoul is no longer just a visitor to the South African music scene; he’s becoming a permanent fixture. Since his 2024 debut at the Neon Dreams’ Dreaming Out Loud Festival, Raffoul has built a deep connection with local audiences that transcends the 14,000km distance from his hometown.
Now, he’s solidifying that bond with his latest single, 'Honey', a collaboration with local talents Booshle G and Tatum Tides. Remarkably, the track, which features a guitar riff Raffoul has been sitting on since 2015, was completed in a single afternoon in East London.
"It was always one of my favourite progressions to play, but I could never find the right lyric and melody," Raffoul shares. "Fast forward 10 years, and I’m in the studio with Booshle and Tatum... The song draws inspiration from all our journeys through life and music."
Raffoul’s affinity for South Africa began at Sognage in Jozi, a show he describes as "one of the most special" of his career. That initial taste of a Johannesburg crowd singing every word back to him sparked a return in June 2025 and has now paved the way for his upcoming tour.
This time around, fans can expect a bigger, more resonant experience. Raffoul is bringing his drummer along to fill out the sound, blending raw authenticity from his two recent albums with the fan favourites that local audiences have come to claim as their own.
For the Joburg crowd, Raffoul takes over Sognage on Saturday, 28 March, from 7pm. However, the upcoming tour isn't just about intimate club dates; Raffoul is also set to make his debut on the iconic Splashy Fen stage, marking a major milestone in his South African journey. For a musician who claims to have made "friends for life" here, this return feels less like a tour and more like a homecoming.
Tickets are available on the Billy Raffoul website, but hurry, they're moving quickly, with both the Pretoria and Cape Town shows already sold out.
