Pets have the right to life, protection, and should never be subjected to abuse. They also have a right to shelter.
This July, Wackadoo For Rescue and Bluey's Big Play have teamed up to change the lives of animals who are suffering.
The initiative comes as Bluey's Big Play, the stage show adaptation of the popular children's series, is playing at the Teatro at Montecasino in Johannesburg. Wackadoo For Rescue, on the other hand, is a non-profit rehabilitation and re-homing shelter with over 500 animals in their care. Some of the animals include donkeys, pigs, chickens, rabbits, geese, goats, dogs and cats.
Wackadoo For Rescue and Bluey's Big Play's initiative runs from 9 to 20 July.
Joburgers are urged to respond to the call to action to improve the lives of animals by contributing cat litter, blankets, pet food, or toys.
A special collection bin is available at the venue to support the Woodrock Animal Rescue.
