Spring represents new beginnings and is the perfect time for foodies to try something fresh and amazing.
Café del Sol has revamped its old menu to give customers a culinary adventure.
The new menu was launched in August - just in time for spring.
"It's a relaunch of our menu with a focus on our signature dishes," the restaurant's owner, Chiara Van de Spring, told Time Out Johannesburg.
"Our menu was too big, so we made it small," she added.
Chiara says customers can look forward to mouth-watering signature dishes such as homemade gnocchi, ravioli, risotto, and "beautiful burrata."
The restaurant specialises in Italian dishes, and Chiara says another must-try dish is the stuffed calamari - the perfect treat for seafood lovers. The dish is prepared with green olives, red peppers, beurre blanc sause, julliene vegetables and linguini pasta.
"Another very popular dish is the fresh Scottish salmon. It is a beautiful, light, healthy dish on our menu. It's very delicious," says Chiara.
Vegetarians are not left behind. The restaurant serves mouth-watering ravioli dishes with spinach, mushrooms, and three cheeses.
Chiara says their "very popular starter is the Italian spring roll."
What makes the restaurant a favourite for many around the city is the freshness and richness of its flavours.
"Everything on our menu is prepared from scratch. Nothing is bought. All the sauces are made in-house, and we use lots of love in preparing the meals," says Chiara.
The restaurant also has a special menu for kids: burgers, pizza and chicken strips.
If you want to elevate your dining experience this Spring, then visit the restaurant in Bryanston and Steyn City. The good news is that the restaurant will also add a branch in Cape Town this October.
