One of the neighbourhood’s beloved shopping centres, Park Meadows Shopping Centre, is gearing up for a major revamp.
The centre shared the exciting news on Facebook: "Big things are happening at Park Meadows Shopping Centre! 🎉 We’re getting ready for our exciting relaunch and can’t wait to welcome you back!"
“These upgrades are about convenience, comfort, and delivering a shopping experience that truly meets the needs of our community. We remain committed to providing an easy, efficient and high-quality retail environment, and these improvements are a reflection of that promise,” said the management team at Park Meadows Shopping Centre.
According to IOL, the mall is set to receive a multimillion-rand facelift funded by Redefine Properties.
The mall is under renovation, with some of the stores not running and other buildings vacant. The date for the launch has not been officially released.
What’s in the pipeline?
The mall will have a lot more stores - offering variety for shoppers. It will feature a fresh mix of old and new stores. Some of the stores include Woolworths Food and Food Lover’s Market will feature its own liquor section.
Better facilities
The upgrades include a new entrance designed to improve traffic flow and make navigation easier for visitors. The centre will also introduce more features to better accommodate people with special needs, ensuring accessibility for all.
Speciality parking bays will be added to improve overall convenience and enhance the shopping experience.
A modern new look
Beyond the new stores and facilities, the mall will be transformed with a sleek, modern design and contemporary features aimed at giving shoppers a more enjoyable and visually appealing environment.
Shoppers around East Rand can look forward to a refreshed and more vibrant space soon.
