From 26 to 28 June 2026, The Glen will be transformed into a battlefield, as some of the country's best gamers lock controllers and keyboards for the MTN SHIFT Gaming Experience.
For the past four years, the tournament has pitted gamers from all around South Africa against each other at shopping malls.
With a prize purse of R350,000 across the series - which sees tournaments take place at eight different shopping malls, MTN SHIFT Gaming Experience's goal is to open the world of e-sports up to as many people as possible, with players of all levels taking part.
The action has already started ahead of the weekend's festivities, with an EAFC 26 online qualifier taking place on 21 June. The top four players from the qualifying series have now secured their spot for the in-person The Glen Mall Final this weekend.
For those who could not participate in the online qualifier, never fear. Players can also enter into one of the 12 in-centre heats this weekend.
The Mall Final winner will receive a R2,500 mall gift card and qualify for the National Football Final, where a R50,000 prize pool is up for grabs. Second and third place will win gift cards worth R1,500 and R1,000, respectively.
For those not keen on sports games, Beat Saber, Brawlhalla, Tekken, and Street Fighter 6 will all be available to play, with additional mall gift cards on offer for those who emerge triumphant.
A PC Gaming Zone, free-play stations, and the Keyboard Rebuild Race add to three packed days of action at The Glen.
