Global luxury brand Rolls-Royce opens new headquarters in Johannesburg

One of the world's most expensive car brands has opened its headquarters in Gauteng.

The globally renowned luxury brand, Rolls-Royce, is bringing its services closer to South African consumers.

The British automobile manufacturer has expanded its African footprint and chosen Johannesburg as its headquarters.

This is great news for the city, which continues to thrive as an innovation hub on the continent. 

The move is aimed at boosting its power system support.

The new facility is not only the luxurious brand's headquarters but also its training facility. 

It is approximately 6,000 square metres and will offer service coordination, spare parts storage, logistics, and technical training.

According to IOL, the new training centre at the facility is expected to accommodate between 100 and 150 trainees each year who will receive comprehensive education for professionals involved in power generation and mining operations. 

Rolls-Royce was founded in 1906 and has established itself as a representation of luxury.

Its headquarters are in London and it operates in over 50 countries

The new facility is the latest plug for the high-end luxury vehicle users.
