The 4th annual Basadi In Music Awards took place over the weekend at the iconic Joburg Theatre.

Hundreds of people came together to honour the best females in the entertainment industry.

This year's theme was symphony of harmony – four elements of nature (earth, water, fire, and air).

The first event took place on Friday, 01 August, kicking off women's month on a high note.

The who's who in the entertainment industry came to Johannesburg to celebrate female excellence.

The night featured entertainment from some of the biggest female artist in South Africa, including the amazing performance from musician Moneoa who took to stage dressed in a stunning white dress and perfumed her hit single, More Than You.

On Friday, the awards ceremony was dedicated to behind-the-scenes trailblazers, such as make up artists, artist managers, choreographers, producers, and stylists.

One of the highlights of the night was when Enhle Mbali and her sons presented the Trailblazer of the Year award to her mother, Bongi Mlotshwa
