The American Grammy-nominated star will take to the stage on National Women's Day this August to deliver an exceptional performance dedicated to women. The highly anticipated show will be hosted at Johannesburg's popular entertainment venue, Big Top Arena, promising an unforgettable evening of romance and nostalgia.
Fans can expect to be swept away by timeless hits such as 'Love Song' and 'Give Love a Chance', along with other soulful favourites that have cemented Jones as one of R&B's most celebrated voices.
Known for his smooth vocals and heartfelt delivery, the love song balladeer has been captivating audiences since launching his music career in the early 1980s. To date, he has sold over 10 million copies worldwide.
Over the years, Jones has earned multiple awards and recognition for his artistry. His collaboration with Regina Belle, 'Love By Design', topped the Billboard Smooth Jazz charts, earning the title of the #1 Most Added Smooth Jazz Vocal Record in the United States. He has also received a prestigious Stellar Award among numerous other accolades throughout his career.
A sought-after live performer, Jones' return to South Africa follows his 2025 appearance at the RustyRocks All4Women music concert at Sun City, where he shared the stage with R&B legend Kenny Lattimore. The event was hosted by the flamboyant Somizi Mhlongo and featured South African star Xolly Mncwango.
It wasn't the first time Jones lit up the stage at Sun City. The R&B star previously headlined a sold-out Youth Day celebration at the iconic venue in 2023. In 2019, he graced the stage at the Newcastle International Jazz and Heritage Experience, before delivering another performance at the Soul Jazz Experience at Emperors Palace in Johannesburg.
Tickets for this year's Johannesburg show are priced at R490, allowing fans to witness one of R&B's finest live on stage.
Judging by his frequent returns to Mzansi, it's clear that Jones remains one of the most beloved American entertainers among South African audiences, a soulful favourite fans can't get enough of.
