The Joburg Market continues to shine.
Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS), the largest procurement professional body in the world, recognised the market for its incredible work at the CIPS Africa Conference and Awards 2025. The market walked away with the Best Collaborative Teamwork Project award at the awards ceremony held from 6 to 7 August, at The Houghton Hotel in Johannesburg.
"Best Collaborative Teamwork Project: Rohloff Group and Joburg Market! Celebrating the power of collaboration, driving impactful results in procurement and supply chain," wrote CIPS Africa on Facebook.
Joburg Market celebrated the award and reaffirmed its commitment to serving with excellence.
“This accolade confirms the outstanding work being done at Joburg Market to ensure that procurement is not only efficient but also ethical, inclusive, and sustainable," Boitumelo Lephadi, the acting Supply Chain Management Senior Manager reportedly said.
“We are proud that our collaborative approach has been recognised at a continental level, and we remain committed to driving good governance in everything we do," Lephadi said.
The award comes a few weeks after the market won the prestigious Clean Audit Award at the 2025 SALGA Governance Awards, held on 30 May 2025.
