A street in Soweto, one of the most well-known townships in the world, just underwent renovations.
Kubayi Street in Chiawelo received speed humps, new road signage, and painted road markings this week.
The upgrade comes after concerns about the high number of accidents on the street.
"Due to the high road accident rate in the area, MMC Kenny Kunene led the JRA as it delivered on its promise to the community of Chiawelo. The team is constructing speed humps, installing road signage, and painting road markings on Kubayi Street."

Tourist attraction
Each year, Soweto sees thousands of local and international tourists flock to it.
It is the iconic township where global icon Nelson Mandela and human rights activist Desmond Tutu once lived.
The township gained international attention when the youth of 1976 fought against the oppressive apartheid system. Their protests led to the death of many.
Must-see sights and activities in Soweto include the Mandela House, Hector Pieterson Museum and Memorial, History Museums, and Cultural Tours.
The revamp in Kubayi will see a transformation in the Soweto experience.
In addition, the township serves as a center for local businesses. Soweto is well-known for its delectable traditional food and shops selling traditional attire.
The revamp means a smoother experience for consumers as well.
