Music to the ears: Jill Scott is coming to South Africa this November

Jill Scott's fans, gather here! The megastar is coming to South Africa as part of her upcoming world tour. 

The singer took to social media on Monday to announce the tour dates, revealing that she will be performing in Pretoria on November 7th 2026.

During the tour, Scott is expected to perform many of the beloved hits that helped make her a household name worldwide, including 'Golden' and 'So In Love'. The singer has spent the past few years focusing on other creative pursuits, including acting and spoken-word performances. Still, she is now returning to music after a lengthy album hiatus. 

Her upcoming tour will also promote her sixth studio album, 'To Whom This May Concern', which was released last month.  

Scott first broke into the music industry with her acclaimed 2000 debut album, 'Who Is Jill Scott? Words and Sounds Vol. 1', which went platinum and introduced audiences to her distinctive blend of soul, jazz and R&B. The album featured several standout tracks that quickly earned her a loyal fan base. 

The three-time Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter has spent decades captivating audiences with music that speaks deeply to the heart. Known for her poetic lyrics and rich vocal delivery, Scott has toured across the globe throughout her career. Her 2026 world tour will also include performances in Paris and Cape Town. 

In 2024, she performed at the DStv Delicious International Food and Music Festival in South Africa. 

Her 2015 album 'Woman' also marked another milestone in her career, debuting at number one on the Billboard R&B Albums chart and the U.S. album sales chart. 

With her new album and a world tour underway, South African fans can look forward to experiencing Scott's soulful voice and powerful storytelling live once again.
