Linden pizzeria crowned Gauteng’s greatest pizza spot

The pizzeria has just been crowned Gauteng's best pizza place at this year's 702 Gauteng's greatest awards, beating out some seriously tough competition.

The pizzeria is located in what is officially one of the world's coolest neighbourhoods - Linden. It prides itself on 'customer experience, delicious product offerings, and beautifully designed stores' and continues to warm the hearts of locals around the province. 

Theo Kavakos, the pizzeria's regional manager, said the recognition was a true reflection of their excellent customer service and mouth-watering flavours. 

"The award made us feel good. It was a big competition, and we thank our customers. We wouldn't be here without them," Theo told Time Out Johannesburg. 

He added that what makes their pizza stand out from other pizzerias is the quality and value they offer to customers. 

"There are a lot of good pizzerias out there, but we pride ourselves in authenticity. All our products are fresh. We also have a wood burning oven which makes a difference.

"Quality is number one. We give our customers value - proper mozzarella on the pizzas, good quality ham, bacon, salami, and obviously our in-house service is great as well. Our customers love us," he added. 

He also praised the local community, saying being based in Linden has been a blessing for the restaurant.

"Linden customers are the best. They are good people and the community is amazing and they are friendly. It is a community that we love a lot, just good people."
