Great news for Johannesburg motorists!
The Gauteng Department of Roads and Transport has announced a new Smart Licensing Centre.
The centre is expected to open on the 5th of June at the Protea Glen Mall in Soweto.
This means you get your shopping, grab something to eat at the restaurants and still get your vehicle licensing needs taken care of without leaving the mall.
The launch at the mall comes three years after the Gauteng Department of Roads and Transport opened the smart licensing centre in at the Gautrain Midrand station and another one at the Waterfall Estate.
The opening of the centre comes as a relief to residents who often have to wait in long queues for vehicle licensing, registrations, and renewals.
You can get the following services done at licensing centres in South Africa:
- Convert foreign driving licence
- Replace lost driving licence
- Renew driving licence
- Apply for a driving licence
- Apply for a learner’s licence
- Apply for a professional driving permit
- Apply for a temporary driving licence
