Need a ride? More options have just opened up for Joburgers looking to move from one spot to another this festive season without worrying about being behind the wheel. Whether you're heading to an event, doing last-minute shopping at one of Joburg's malls, or simply trying to beat the festive rush, convenience is about to get a whole lot better.

Secure Cab, a 100% South African-owned e-hailing platform, is officially rolling out in the city - talk about perfect timing! As the year winds down and the roads become busier, an extra transportation option is always welcome. From 15 December, South Africans will be able to book rides through the e-hailing app, with fares starting from as little as R50.

The company announced the launch on social media, revealing that "the countdown is on". It positioned itself as the answer for riders who want secure rides.

Secure Cab promises to "change the game" by putting protection at the centre of its service, ensuring that safety is not just an add-on, but the foundation.
This means riders now have even more freedom to choose a service that aligns with both their needs and their pockets. Among its standout safety features are security-trained drivers, real-time tracking, and an instant panic response system, offering peace of mind across every trip.

The app also uses the consumer's photo for identity verification, strengthening safety for both riders and drivers. After entering your pickup location, the driver contacts you via phone to confirm your exact pickup point - a significant win, especially considering that some e-hailing apps still struggle with pinpointing precise locations.

The rides come with added peace of mind, as the company promises that its drivers are not only trained in security but also in situational awareness, first aid, and professional customer service. This means riders can expect smoother trips, knowing that should an emergency arise, the driver is prepared, capable, and trained to handle various situations.

To make things even more seamless, each ride comes with a digital receipt emailed directly to you for easy record-keeping.

With its commitment to safety and proudly South African ownership, Secure Cab aims to redefine the e-hailing experience for Joburgers this festive season- and beyond.
