Step Up, Johannesburg — Adam Sevani is bringing his moves to town

It’s official: Adam Sevani, the American dancer and actor best known as Moose from the Step Up film franchise, is coming to South Africa, and yes, he’s teaching you how to move.

The announcement from Global Dance Supreme recently lit up social media, revealing that Sevani will host two exclusive Masterclass Workshops in February 2026: one in Johannesburg on February 14 and another in Cape Town on February 15.

So if your Valentine’s Day plans were looking quiet, here’s your sign to trade the dinner reservation for a dance floor.

“It’s your turn to Step Up — and dance alongside the one and only Moose!” teased the official post, sending South African dance fans into a frenzy.

A Hollywood dance icon meets Jozi’s street style

For those who grew up watching Step Up 2: The Streets and Step Up 3D, Sevani’s smooth, high-energy style helped define a generation of hip-hop dance fans. He’s known for his incredible popping and locking skills, expressive movement, and effortless charisma—the same vibe he’ll bring to his South African workshops.

While details are still under wraps, registration opens soon, and studio and group packages will be available. Global Dance Supreme has confirmed that spaces are limited, and given the hype, this one’s going to fill up fast.

Joburg’s dance scene is ready

Johannesburg has long been the epicentre of South Africa’s dance culture, from street styles and amapiano grooves to the city’s thriving studio scene.
