It’s been six long years since the last one, but the wait is officially over. Flight Centre has announced the return of its massive Travel Expo, which will take over Sandton City from 19 to 22 February 2026.

For four days, the mall will be transformed into a global travel hub, bringing together 16 major suppliers and over 40 iconic brands, including airlines, luxury hotel groups, and cruise lines, all under one roof.

Why it’s worth the trip to Sandton

While we love a good online deal, there is something to be said for the retail travel experience. The Expo isn't just about brochures; it’s about exclusive, expo-only deals that you won't find on any website, and that's what makes it special.

"We have buckets of inspiration and experts on hand to answer all your questions," says Antoinette Turner, General Manager at Flight Centre South Africa. "There’ll be expo specials and travel deals that you simply won’t be able to get anywhere else."

What to expect

Whether you are a solo backpacker, a family planning the ultimate December getaway, or a couple looking for that perfect honeymoon spot, the expo covers every niche:

  • Expert consultations: Sit down with Flight Centre travel experts to map out complex itineraries.
  • Global variety: Explore everything from all-inclusive beach packages and African safaris to niche sports packages and bucket-list adventures.
  • Direct access: Chat face-to-face with the people behind the world’s leading airlines and tour operators to get the inside track on 2026’s hottest destinations.

The planning season sweet spot

The timing couldn’t be better. Everyone has recovered from their December shenanigans, and February is peak planning season for South Africans looking to lock in competitive pricing for mid-year shoulder-season trips or secure accommodation for the 2026 festive rush.

With South Africans showing a renewed hunger for both new destinations and nostalgic favourites, the expo aims to give travellers the confidence to travel well with expert guidance.

The best part? Entry is completely free. So, grab a coffee, head to Sandton City, and start planning your 2026 escape.
