Ready for some fun this weekend? Drag superstar Wynand Kotze is back with another outrageous performance that promises to leave audiences in stitches.
The multi-talented performer, known for his larger-than-life stage persona, is returning to the spotlight with his brand-new comedy show, Hoofseun, which he wrote alongside Anne Hirsch.
The renowned South African performer is ready to give Joburgers the treat of a lifetime this coming Sunday, October 5, at the iconic Theatre of Marcellus at Emperors Palace.
The entertainer will also share personal stories about his family, and experiences within the Afrikaner community as a performer. The night will be filled with laughter, storytelling, and performances that promise to be unforgettable.
Show description:
Hoofseun is about Wynand Kotze, Vanrhynsdorp’s former head boy, who is now a drag queen named Tollie Parton. How does something like this even happen? And the biggest question of all: why do people keep thinking she’s Casper de Vries with (bigger) breasts? Tollie’s new show, Hoofseun, is a comical, highly infectious, semi-offensive look at what it really means to face the expectations of a small Afrikaans town as a drag queen.
Judging by previous performances from the drag star, the show is giving laugh-until-your-cheeks-hurt vibes. Prepare for infectious laughter.
No under 18s are allowed.
