Constance A. Dunn says
Well-known in Serbia and exhibiting all over Europe, Aleksandar Todorovic has just arrived in the US with a small collection of paintings.

In his work he explores modern day evil, greed, and prejudice, focusing on political images and figures that are meant to provoke discussion. His paintings are graphic and illustrative, but executed with absolute precision using acrylic on canvas.

Although the politics that originally inspired much of his work comes from the transitional and war years in former-Yugoslavia, the "portraits" in this series take on universal and timely issues that are relevant in the US and Louisville.

Come out to see the work and meet with the artist!

All events are free within Tim Faulkner's main gallery.

(Constance A. Dunn helped to organize this show as part of a intiative to create new connections between upcoming artists/writers/performers in the US with other artists/writers/performers around the world. If you'd like to see more work from abroad in Louisville, come tell her at the show.)
