Annual Homeless Street Count says
(Sign up to volunteer here:!)

Each January, the Coalition for the Homeless conducts a Street Count to verify the number of people sleeping outdoors in our city. We rely heavily on volunteers for this effort; the more we have, the more areas we can cover, and the greater our chances are of getting an accurate count.

The 2016 Street Count is Thursday, January 28, from 4-6am (meeting at Hotel Louisville beforehand and afterwards for a warm breakfast) and the mandatory training session is the day prior, Wednesday, January 27, from 6-7pm (also at Hotel Louisville).

PLEASE NOTE: there is only one way to sign up to volunteer for the Street Count this year, and that's by completing the short form online here: We cannot track Facebook event RSVPs as official responses, so please be sure to fill out the form online! There is also more information (including a list of frequently asked questions) there.

Please spread the word! We had 200 volunteers last year and would love to get closer to 300 this year. Thanks for your compassion and commitment to the homeless population of Louisville.
