Basic meditation techniques are used throughout the world for many different benefits. This class will focus on exercises to promote rest, relaxation and overall healthy living. This session also teaches the basic calming affects of meditation, which can be used to reduce anxiety, stress and can aid in pain management and symptom relief. The class will focus on the movement of energy inside and around the human body to enhance emotional and physical well-being. Exercises will also be introduced to aid in personal problem-solving and the development of self- guidance and inner contentment to promote healthy balance and maintenance for self and others. There will be a brief introduction explaining concepts and then a meditation to follow. The class will close with an open discussion for questions. A journal for class sessions is recommended.

Participants of all faiths/belief systems welcome.
