Big weekend of events upcoming at Historic Locust Grove!


Saturday - Sunday, June 27-28
10 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Featuring Charles Bartman, Julius Friedman, Richard Young, Harvey Venier & others. This is a new event for lovers of great books, collectibles, and art. It brings together a group of local book and art dealers who will show and sell of out-of-print, remaindered, and other special books. They’ll also have maps, prints, posters, and fine papers as well. A portion of the sale includes books donated to Locust Grove. The sale benefits the education and preservation programs of Locust Grove. Certified appraiser Charles Bartman will be on hand to appraise books, free of charge. Saturday, June 27, 10 AM – 4:30 PM (Free admission) Sunday, June 28, 10 AM – 4:30 pm (With Antiques Market; $8 admission charged)

This annual Antiques Market features professional dealers from the South and Midwest displaying their wares on the lawn at Locust Grove. In addition to American country antiques, the show features formal furniture, books, textiles, jewelry, and silver. Admission includes tours of the historic house museum. Concessions are available. Proceeds support the continued operation and preservation of Locust Grove. New prices: admission: $8 adults, free for age 12 and under. Early Bird Admission: $15 until 9:30 am.
