The Louisville Orchestra says
On Saturday, April 25, Teddy Abrams closes Main Street to celebrate the final concert of the Louisville Orchestra’s 2015-16 season. The event will feature a live outdoor broadcast of the LO Beethoven’s Fifth concert.

The Brown-Forman Season Finale Block Party will feature music, food and festivities in conjunction to the final concert of the season, Beethoven’s Fifth. The concert will be broadcast live outside the Kentucky Center. The LO is encouraging anyone to come with their lawn chairs and enjoy a full evening of music of all kinds.

The FREE AND OPEN to the public event will start at 5 pm when local music groups will perform while crowds enjoy food trucks and games. Some of the local entertainment includes River City Drum Corps and the Louisville Leopard Percussionists.

A special element of the day, The Fifth Third Bank's "Landfill" Orchestra, comprised of Hartstern Elementary students, will create a piece of music with Teddy Abrams using the instruments the students made from recycled materials.

At 8pm as the Louisville Orchestra takes the Whitney Hall stage inside, anyone in front of the Kentucky Center will also be able to enjoy the final concert of the season. Tickets for the indoor concert are selling fast and are available by calling 502.584.7777

After the LO opens with John Williams’ Cowboy Overture, the genre-defying string trio, Time for Three, will join Teddy and the LO for some of their favorite pop to classical mashups. The highlight of the evening will with Beethoven’s most well-known work, the Fifth Symphony.
As the LO musicians leave the stage of Whitney Hall, the party continues outside with the talented Tunesmiths followed by 1200.

Outside food and drink, weapons and umbrellas are prohibited at the block party.
