The focus of this month's meetup is the Louisville Sustainability Council's (LSC) first project, the Solar Over Louisville: 2 Million Watt Challenge. Solar Over Louisville's (SOL) goal is to make Louisville a leading city in solar energy, educate the community about the benefits and cost savings potential of solar energy, and advocate for solar policy change in Louisville.
At February's Green Drinks you'll hear SOL's plans for 2016, which include educational workshops, trainings, tours on solar installations, and creating an EV (electric vehicles) charging station network in Louisville, to name a few.
Solar experts and installers will be on hand to explain the federal and state tax credits, financing models and investment strategies that allow homes and businesses to take full advantage of this huge opportunity.
Green Drinks meetups are free and open to all.
