19th Annual Way of the Cross: A Walk for Justice
Good Friday April 3, 2015 9:30-11:30 AM

The Walk for Justice starts at the Mazzoli Federal Building on 7th and Chestnut ending at Founders Square at 5th and Liberty. This ecumenical Stations of the Cross event is shaped by the tradition of remembering Jesus' final moments in life. The 1.5 mile walk pauses at 14 locations throughout downtown Louisville to remember these traditional stations, but connect anew Jesus’ suffering to our lives and our world today.

The Way of the Cross remembers and prays for those caught in situations of oppression or suffering today and invites us to both mourn, and reflect, but also to take action.

The dangerous memory of Jesus' passion and death confronts us with the terrible realities of misunderstanding, injustice, and innocent suffering. The Way of the Cross invites for us the surprising possibility that God can and does accomplish great things even in the midst of terrible anguish.
