Louisville Evolutionaries Welcomes Amy Bammel Creating Rituals And Rights Of Passage For The Post Modern & Post Religious

The event creator says
There is a growing need in our post-modern and post-religious culture to re-imagine and re-create rituals and rights of passages that facilitate both inward psychological transformations (puberty, gender identity, mid-life crises, vocational calling, etc) and cultural life-stage transitions (birth of child, getting drivers license, first job, divorce, retirement, death.) As a growing population in our community no longer participates in traditional ritual making institutions, like the church, we need to cultivate and reactivate the archetypical function of the priests and priestess and the “witnessing” community, who can help us create and celebrate rituals which assist in these transitions, without the doctrinal, theological or worldview assumptions that many now reject. We still have a psychological and societal need to express inward and outward changes but have lost both the priestly/shamanic and connections with communities of practice.

Amy Bammel, creator and fascilitator of Red Tent, special guest Rose Flowers, a henna artist, Jud Hendrix, host of The Loft and the community gathered will explore the creation of rituals and rights of passage for a post-modern and post-religious world.

Amy Bammel, creator and facilitator of Red Tent :: Louisville, been leading sacred women’s circles, mother-daughter circles and retreats, and rite-of-passage ceremonies since 2006, just after her initiation to
motherhood. The pregnancy and birth of her first child - her daughter Brynn - in 2005 catalyzed her transformation by setting her on a path toward healing and Sacred Feminism, and sparked her passion for empowering
women by helping them to reclaim their inherent power and wisdom.

Amy is a perpetual student of womanhood and spirituality, and iscontinually inspired by the place where the two realms overlap. Called toshare her medicine with girls and women throughout the lifespan, she is a
trained and loving guide in the areas of the Goddess archetype, sacred self-care, sexuality education, maidenhood, grief and loss, breastfeeding,
and the menstrual cycle.

Passionate about empowering girls and women, Amy is devoted to witnessing and inspiring the reawakening of the Sacred Feminine from the individual to the global level.
