We're proud to invite you to hear a fantastic nationwide speaker on the Louisville TEA Party stage.

John Moody, Executive Director
Farm-to Consumer Legal Defense Fund

John is a farmer, business owner, and executive director of the Farm-to-Consumer Legal Defense Fund, an organization committed to restoring basic rights to food growers and eaters around the nation.

In 2011 John worked with a Louisville consumer-owned food organization that was illegally targeted for harassment and quarantine by the Louisville Metro Department of Public Health and the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services. By prompt application of the Kentucky Constitution's protections and the needed public pressure on politicians, both agencies retreated and ended their bureaucratic assault on the organization's consumers.

The story is featured in Rand Paul's 2012 book Government Bullies: How Everyday Americans Are Being Harassed, Abused, and Imprisoned by the Feds, which exposes government hurting people for innocent activities.

John will educate us on the history of government overreach in the food and farming industries, how food politics even affect where people can live, and how ordinary people are fighting to roll back 100 years of favoritism, insider deals and abuse.

At the close of the meeting, all are welcome to join us at Stadium Joe's, the hotel's in-house restaurant and bar for social time and lively discussion.
