There might be winners and losers when it comes to sports, but there are only winners at this month’s Social Speed! Flex your trivia muscles, design your own medal, enjoy a live screening of the Olympics, and compete in games that haven’t quite made it into the Olympics line up.

Trivia | 7:00-8:00pm Grand Hall
How well do you know the Olympics? Join a team, test your memory, and see if you’re a champ that goes home with a prize! Four 15-minute rounds will begin at 7:00pm, and prizes will be awarded at the end of each round. Stay for one round or dominate all four! Teams will be capped at 6 players. Prizes will be awarded for each round.

Art-lympics Tour | 6:30 and 8:00 pm, Meet in the Atrium
During this interactive gallery tour, you’ll serve as the judge of the first annual Speed International Art-lympics. Our 6:30 tour will award medals for two-dimensional art and the 8:00 tour will award medals for three-dimensional works.

Photo Booth | 6:00-9:00 pm, Education Court
Join your friends at the podium and capture your victorious moment with Derby City Selfie’s Photo Booth!

Make Your Medal | 6:00-9:00 pm, Atrium
Everyone’s a winner at the art-making table! Use tools and metallic materials to create a personalized medal that will let everyone know you’re a champion.

Corn Hole, Ping-Pong, & Foosball | 6:00-9:00 pm, Atrium Compete with both strangers and friends at our not-so-Olympic games.

Art Sparks | 6:00 – 9:00 pm
Have fun playing games in the redesigned Art Sparks!

Speed Cinema presents: The Defenders with Todd Brashear
7:00 – 9:00 pm
This month features the return of the quarterly series, The Defenders, in which local well-known figures are invited to pick one of their guilty pleasure films, share it with the audience, and defend their choice after the screening. The audience is sworn to secrecy about what is screened. This month, the former owner of Wild and Wooly Video, Todd Brashear, shares a cinematic gem. Tickets will be available one hour before screening in the Cinema Lobby. Limited seating available. Recommended for 18+.
