The Seasons in Quincy
Directed by Colin MacCabe, Christopher Roth, Bartek Dziadosz, and Tilda Swinton

“A reverential love letter to a mentor and father figure.”—Andrew Pulver, The Guardian

Revered as a modern Rennaisance man, John Berger is a painter, art critic/historian, novelists, screenwriter, essayist, poet, Marxist, and author of The Ways of Seeing, a key book read by most aspiring artists and art historians.

Living a secluded life in the French Alps, he does invite a few visitors—actor Tilda Swinton, director Christopher Roth, musician Simon Fisher Turner, and fellow writer Collin MacCabe. Each visits in a different season and creates a unique portrait of their encounter based on their interactions with Berger. The film was created by the newly formed Derek Jarman Lab, dedicated to producing new challenging work. 2015, U.S., DCP, 89 minutes. Not rated, suggested for 13+
