When money and power is involved, society tends to ignore or to encourage faults—or so is the case of Marguerite. In the 1920s, she invites music lovers from all over to her castle to share in her passion and life’s work: music. While she gives it her all, she still sings completely and hopelessly out of tune. Having been secluded and deluded, her musical performance has been encouraged, and this crowd of hypocrites showers her with praise. When a journalist fans this ruse in a rave review of her home debut, Marguerite’s delusions increase.
