Revelry Boutique Gallery says
Could Revelry get any crazier?

The answer is, YES!! Derby is upon us, so to celebrate we are having two show openings in one night! Featuring art by Petersen Thomas and Melissa Crase.

"Out of the Black, Into the Blue" by Petersen Thomas, is a collection of paintings that addresses how we can get a sense of someone by just observing how they occupy and move through space. Peterson limits the information given in the paintings to the essential minimum, even hiding facial expressions. This forces the viewer to interpret and connect with the figure on his or her own terms.

"Horse Colors" by Melissa Crase, represents the bright and colorful world of horses and horse sports. Melissa believes that all horses have a unique personality that can be best portrayed through colors. Movement and color often seem to go hand- in- hand, and in the world of horse sports the action can sometimes appear to be just a whirlwind of vivid colors--amazing and beautiful just like the animals themselves. All of the pieces are acrylics or mixed media on canvas, painted with a variety of items to get unique textures and effects.
