10 Picassos from the Kunstmuseum Basel

The fact that the Kunstmuseum in Basel is undergoing construction is good news for us: a substantial portion of its works are coming to Madrid's two biggest museums (the Prado and the Reina Sofía), making them the stars of the season. In the Prado you can take in ten works by Pablo Picasso, dated between 1906 and 1967, which, together with other masterpieces by Titian, Tintoretto, Rubens and Velázquez comprise an interesting retrospective at the Galería Central in the Villanueva building. Some of these Picassos have left Switzerland only once, in 2003, so if you're a fan, you will not want to miss this exhibition.
