The pristine sculptures of American artist Charles Ray (Chicago, 1953) are on show at the Palacio de Cristal in the Retiro park. These intensely white and oversized pieces offer an artistic perception that may leave you questioning reality. For instance, his 'Family Romance' (1993), Ray depicts a straight couple with their children, who are all naked. By making the children the same height as the parents, the artist shows an altered perception of idealised normality.
