The most important photography festival in Spain, PHotoESPAÑA, hits hard this year. And the Casa de México joins in to host another ode to the image with the exhibition 'Nazarin', a debut photographic retrospective of the film by the same name from Spanish filmmaker Luis Buñuel. Itself based on the novel by Benito Pérez Galdós, the film was released 60 years ago, and tells the story of the transformation of a priest suffering a crisis of faith.
This exhibition is built on original negatives, stills, advertising material and documentation that put 'Nazarín' in context through the work of the talented Manuel Álvarez Bravo, a top figure in modern photography, who took part in the documentation and marketing of the movie.
