Polar Heir. Han Sungpil

What fascinates us about the emptiness and sterility of the polar regions? It is precisely that emotion before the sublime that provoked the prolific Korean photographer Han Sungpil to create this series. His experience with the polar regions is related more to time than to space. His work represents the flow of time, preserved and frozen in snow and ice. The stratification of snow ratifies the passing of the years, and it is here that Han has witnessed, and shows viewers of his work, the frozen infinity of time.
