Punk is the protagonist of the new exhibition in La Fiambrera Art Gallery, with pieces from the punk era, including among them original signed photographs. And it happens to be the 40th anniversary of the punk movement, which started out in the late 1970s as a music and aesthetic phenomenon plagued by marginal cliches and stereotypes, and which over the years has become an important part of the culture. La Fiambrera has managed to not just gather together heaps of original pieces from the 1970s – fanzines, records, memorabilia and nearly a hundred photos of classic punk bands (Sex Pistols, The Clash, Ramones...) signed by the photographers who were there from the beginning – but also to match up the gallery's regular artists with works inspired by the punk aesthetic and culture.
