At the beginning of the 20th century, the budding cinema industry was quick to appropriate the vampire myth, which had come about out of ancient Greek and Arabic superstitions that had spread across Central Europe during the Middle Ages, and was bolstered in the 18th century in scientific writing and English romantic novels of the 19th century. This exhibition brings together a selection from the multitude of fantasy films that the vampire myth has fostered, from avant-garde projects to blockbusters. You'll also find a whole series of activities featuring these sinister characters as the stars.
