Time Out says

Madrid welcomes the seventh edition of this 'black music' festival. The best concerts in the top concert halls in town shake up the city for more than a month with hot jazz, soul, groove, funk and blues. This year you can expect a few commemorations: 50 years since Otis Redding passed away; 50 years since boogaloo exploded onto the scene; and 50 years celebrating Madrid's own Canal Street Jazz Band. It wasn't dull back in 1967, it would seem. Some of the acts you can look forward to seeing around Madrid are Marco Fonktana, Paradise Phantoms, Mighty Vamp and Anaut.
