Two big names come together for the Veranos de la Villa music festival: Nigerian percussionist Tony Allen, considered by many to be the father of Afrobeat, and American musician Jeff Mills, one of the indisputable pioneers of techno. They met in Paris in 2012, and since then they've met up whenever their calendars have allowed to weave together a surprising and singular sound. Before they take the stage you can check out a concert by Les Filles de Illighadad, a group of contemporary African folk musicians made up of Nigerian women, along with electronic music producer and DJ Damian Schwartz.
