Celebrate the spookiest night of the year in true Manchester style with these club nights and events - covering everything from power ballads to rock clubs, classical favourites to funk and soul. Pull together your most terrifying Halloween outfit and get yourself down to one of these.

Ultimate Power
Described as ‘the best night of your life’, Ultimate Power is all about those power ballads and guilty pleasures we all secretly love. Think Meatloaf, Bonnie Tyler, Journey and everything in between. Each song will get the crowd singing along at the top of their lungs to every single word; it’s a semi-religious experience for its devotees. For Halloween, the team are hosting a Bat Out of Hell special in Manchester promising creepy crawlies and spooky surprises. Fancy dress is more than encouraged - just don’t forget your air guitar.
Ultimate Power, October 30, The Ritz. Tickets £9.

Satan’s Hollow
Surely there’s no better place to celebrate Halloween in Manchester than Satan’s Hollow? With skulls and skeletons a-plenty alongside Satan himself looking down on you from behind the DJ booth, a visit to the rock club has a Halloween-esque feel all year round but October 31 is when they go all out. Every year the venue hosts its infamous Halloween Ball complete with a generous cash prize for the best costume and goodies for the runners up. Tickets will be on sale in advance although a small number will be available on the door to those who get down early.
Halloween Ball, October 31, 9pm, Satans Hollow, Silver Street. Tickets £6.

An American Halloween Story at Cherry
Inspired by ‘American Horror Story’, Cherry at Sound Control will be asking punters to dress up in their most twisted and evil costume based on the show for their Halloween extravaganza. Classic hip hop, American pop and funk and soul tunes will be played all night and there will also be ‘American Horror Story’ themed Cherry posters up for grabs and free sweets.
Cherry, October 30, Sound Control. Tickets £4 advance, £5-6 on the door.

Knife Party at The Warehouse Project
Electronic music duo Knife Party will be making a return to the Warehouse Project for one night only as part of the venue’s Halloween celebrations. If that’s not enough, WHP will also be hosting a second Halloween shindig, Bugged Out!, on the night itself, headlined by Carl Craig.
Warehouse Project, Knife Party October 29 8pm-3am, tickets £18.50. Bugged Out! October 31 9pm-5am, tickets £25.

Lydia Lunch’s Halloween Séance
Islington Mill tells you to expect the unexpected when the legendary No Wave icon Lydia Lunch takes the stage for their Halloween special – complete with an occult experience from the Wytches. The line-up is completed by Pins, Water and Manchester group ILL and is set to be night to remember.
Lydia Lunch’s Halloween Séance, October 31, 8pm. Islington Mill, Salford. Tickets £7.

The Mirror Ball’s Halloween Spooktacular
Bringing a bit of glitz and glamour to the festivities, celebrity hairdresser Andrew Trott-Barn and the team behind The Mirror Ball will host their third Halloween event at Great Northern Warehouse. Raising money for Forever Manchester, dressing up isn’t optional here - anyone not in fancy dress will be knocked back at the door.
Halloween Spooktacular, October 31, Great Northern Warehouse. Tickets £20-£25.

The Hallé – Fright Night
Celebrate spooktacular Halloween music at this special performance from The Hallé at Bridgewater Hall. From Herrmann’s score from ‘Psycho’ to ‘Thriller’ to Wagner’s ‘The Flying Dutchman’, the concert will combine creepy classics with more modern pieces – and also feature the eerie sound of Alasdair Malloy’s Hydrodaktulopsychicharmonica.
Fright Night, October 31, 7.30pm, Bridgewater Hall. Tickets £20.

Halloween Double Bill at Gorilla
If music and clubbing aren’t your thing, Gorilla will be hosting a double bill of two classic Halloween films – ‘The Addams Family’ and Tom Hanks’ ‘The Burbs’. The organisers also promise cocktails, ‘spooky’ popcorn and prizes for the best dressed.
The Halloween Double Bill, October 31, 6-10pm, Gorilla. Tickets £8.
