Lovedrug W/ Coopertheband says
LOVEDRUG (Nashville)
alternative pop/rock band from Nashville, TN. Melding purist indie rock ethic with the immense sounds of stadium-prog, Lovedrug refuse to recognize a dichotomy between art and mass appeal. While the euro-bent of their debut LP Pretend You’re Alive frequently evoked Muse and pre-electronic Radiohead comparisons, Lovedrug embrace broader musical peers. Defining their own unique space between indie pillars (Modest Mouse, Sunny Day Real Estate) and super-size rock (Soundgarden, Nirvana), chief protagonist Michael Shepard’s otherworldly vocals set intriguing tales against a massive sonic backdrop.
The band, originally hailing from Alliance, OH, was formed in 2002 by frontman Michael Shepard. Since its inception, the band has seen success on the Billboard charts, toured internationally, and shared the stage with acts such as The Killers, Robert Plant, Cat Power, Silversun Pickups, Eagles of Death Metal, Nine Inch Nails, and Kings of Leon.
Currently, Lovedrug is touring to support their fifth studio album Notions, which was released on September 4, 2015. A deluxe edition is in the works and will include remixes by EthniKids. The band is also releasing a double LP deluxe edition vinyl of their debut album, Pretend You’re Alive, through a crowd-funding campaign run directly through their website. The band will continue to tour heavily in 2016 in support of their new album, Notions.

Coopertheband (all one word) is a bramily (band/friends/family) composed of six massive music nerds with minds to rhyme and twelve hot feet. Centered in Jackson, TN, the band has found success nationally, featured on networks like HBO, ESPN, and TruTV as well as the hit show “Without a Trace.” Coopertheband is also hugely plugged into the local music scene and often finds itself on podcasts, regional television shows, and the occasional old-fashioned newspaper article. To date, Coopertheband has released two albums - Venture (2010) and Kings EP (2012) - which is based on the life of David from the Bible. CTB is currently working on their latest album Kingdoms, expected to hit fall/winter of 2016.!the-band/c404
