Stax & Satellite @60 The Bo Keys & Special Guests says

In 1960, Satellite Records moved from Brunswick, Tennessee down to South Memphis, taking up shop in the former Capitol Theater. Jim Stewart, Estelle Axton, Chips Moman, and many others, forged a new sound in the space that laid the foundation for Otis Redding, Sam & Dave, and numerous others that set foot in Studio A.

Early on, it was musicians such as Howard Grimes, Marvell Thomas, and future members of Booker T. & the MGs and the Mar-Keys who lent their talents to a variety of R&B, blues, surf, and rock records.

Memphis stalwarts, the Bo-Keys, and special guests will perform rarely heard songs from the early years by groups like the Barracudas, the Triumphs, Prince Conley, and others. In addition, several artists from those early days will participate in a pre-concert discussion and Q&A session.
