When you’re too old for candy and trick-or-treating, the pursuit of a festive Halloween takes you—where else?—to the bar, where themed cocktails sub in for pumpkin-shaped chocolate. Making sure you get your fill of spooky drinks this season is Rum Bar inside the Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, which hosts a month-long pop-up appropriately dubbed the House of Spells. Take a swig of Witch’s Brew (Mount Gay Black Barrel, black tea, Oleo Saccharum, orange Juice, lime juice, Angostura bitters) sip on a Vampire’s Kiss (Barbera d’alba, Pomegranate Liqueur, sparkling rosé, roasted cherry syrup) and quell your zombie appetite with the Tombstone—a crispy flatbread with wild mushrooms and truffle essence. Costumes are encouraged and kids are welcomed, especially on November 1st for the pop-up’s Dia de los Muertos send-off with even more boozy potions for the grown-ups.
