Lyft launches party bus service for Miami Beach riders

There's no bigger buzzkill than sitting in traffic on your way to the club—no matter how many times you hit replay on "Despacito" in the car.

Lyft is looking to change that with its new Party Mode service, a souped-up ride with blacklights, a dance floor and couch-style seating for up to 12 people. Party Mode is exclusively for riders with a pickup and drop-off location within Miami Beach (sorry, mainlanders) and will be available only August 4, 5, 11 and 12 between 9pm–2am. As for pricing, expect to pay more than you would for regular service but still less than Plus or Lux rides.

You can take the bus about anywhere—dinner on Española way, cocktails at Gin+Collins—but riders who opt for a stop at Ora are in for a bigger surprise. The South Beach club is throwing in the ultimate VIP treatment: free admission before midnight, table service with one bottle of vodka and two drink tickets per guest.

Because in partying like in life, it's as much about the journey as it is the destination.
