Miami’s powerful can finally rest their powerful hearts—which pump powerful blood into their powerful veins—easily. Because soon, we’ll have a highly exclusive dating app dedicated to the matching of power couples.
It’s called the League and it’s basically what would happen if Tinder had a trust fund, an Ivy League degree and a vacation home in Montauk. On June 13, the dating app will go live to a network of 2,000 hand-picked Miami singles.
Why Miami, you might ask? Well according to a study conducted by the League, our fine city falls into ninth place on the company’s list of the top 15 cities for aspiring power couples. The metrics by which the League measured power couple potential include area LinkedIn usage, education rates and male-to-female ratio. Surprisingly, how many Blu-ray copies of The Wolf of Wall Street one owns was not a deciding factor.
The League will be celebrating its Miami launch on Thursday, June 8, with a private VIP reception.
If you don’t make The League’s initial lineup, you can apply to join the app. But be warned, there will be a waitlist and your membership is contingent upon a thorough review of your headshot. In the meantime, here is the League’s very own definition of a power couple: "Those who are not only ambitious and successful in their own right, but desire to be in a relationship of equals.”
