Hey, there. Do you remember these things called cold fronts? They used to come into town every once in a while to save us from scorching seatbelt buckles and massive utility bills. It’s like air-conditioning—but outside.
It’s okay if you’re blanking. It’s been a while, we know.
But this week will hopefully be a brief reminder of what cold (by South Florida standards) feels like. The cold front coming into Miami this week will only be a small sample, peaking Wednesday through Thursday night with a possible low of 58 degrees. By the weekend, things will be back in the mid-80s.
Still, after one of the hottest summers in Miami history, we’ll take what we can get. Our poor winter clothes have forgotten what the outside world looks like.
