Do you prefer movies that come with a warning to folks with a heart condition? Halloween might still be a couple months away but horror addicts are getting an early gift this weekend when the Popcorn Frights Film Festival takes over O Cinema Wynwood.

The film festival—now in its third year— will be dedicated to the glorious genre of horror and feature over 40 films from names both big and small. In addition to a “homegrown” showcase of Florida talent (August 12 at 5pm), Popcorn Frights will also show the American premiere of The Jungle, a new Daniel Radcliffe flick about a trip through the Bolivian rainforest gone horribly awry. According to the trailer, Radcliffe is—in at least one scene—shirtless and covered in mud. So even if you don’t like thrillers—at least there’s that.

The festival will run from August 11–17 and you can see the full schedule of films and buy tickets online ($12) at popcornfrights.com. The extra pair of undies is not included.
